A Minnie Bday

As we all know Kady turned 2 this past week and we celebrated by having a Minnie Bday party. We even let her wear her Halloween costume for it. And heck at least she gets to wear it twice. I feel like we got our moneys worth out of it :) And she left the ears on for a lot longer then we thought she would. She usually HATES to wear head bands but for some reason she kept it on for a few hours!

Kady LOVES her new kitchen that we got her for her birthday. On her actual day is when she woke up to his in the living room and she played with it for hours! She didn't even want to go bye bye which she usually loves. And by the looks of it I think Drew likes it too!

Kady wasn't a big help with her presents this year. I think she helped with just a few! She loved all her new stuff though! And she made out like a bandit!

Kady loves her new baby. She wouldn't put her down later that night. She gives her hugs and kisses when its bed time too. Now only if Kady would go to bed at the same time as baby! I'll save that story for a later blog.

venting

So the other day someone made a comment, not to me, but it still gets to me. She had said that stay at home moms make more well rounded kids. So does that mean that i am hurting Kady by working? I thought it meant that i was providing everything that she needed. This person had then something like she works full time as a mom and those that work arnt full time moms. Well i beg to differ. I am a full time mom and work full time. I do both!! I may not be with Kady all day but i am still her mom and will always be an involved mom!

I think that comment hit me even harder because I'm feeling guilty for when she starts school. she will be in school all day tues, weds and thurs. which means she needs to be there at least by 8am ( they do a special thing just for the 2 year olds) and then Grandma will get Kady after work. Since both Jimmy and I will be at work until after her bedtime. So i really wont see much of kady those 3 days. Which bothers me! But we now have 2 set family days where we never had that before. And jimmy is off super early on Sat now so its only those 3 days that bug me.

Ok enough venting. Still feel guilty but i do know i am both a full time and a working mom

new toy/working out

Kadys Grandma and Grandpa found a great deal on a used sandbox that they just couldn't pass up. Its the cutest thing. Its a boat! She loves driving it. Once she is in it..good luck on getting her out :)

On some side notes Kady is really starting to say some more words. Granted some words may be missing letters but shes 2! I think she really surprised us when said "ungle" when she wants to watch Jungle Junction. But if i count how many she says now i think we are close to 20! And no we haven't gone to the audiologist yet. Not that we don't want to but her Dr's receptions has yet to call us back with the referral. And I've called like 5 times. But she goes for her 2 year well check in 2 weeks so I'm not worried.

And as i type this she is being hilarious! She is doing my work out routine. She does squats then goes down for crunches. (sorry i cant figure out how to rotate it)

Lately when when we eat a salad Kady has been coming up wanting the cucumber, carrots and cabbage out of it. So the other day when I made my salad I had put all those things with a tiny bit of ranch in her own bowl and she LOVED it. Makes me happy too that shes eating her veggies! Now only if she would use a fork. But we are working on that. Ive been giving her a waffle for breakfast and been getting stern with her that she needs to use the fork and not her fingers. And I'm also getting stern at sitting down while eating. She has ALWAYS been on the go and wont sit still for anything. I'm just so done with it and shes gonna have to learn before school starts.

Dr visit

Kady had a small Dr visit today where he wasn't happy with her speech, or lack thereof. Shes been on a 6-10 word vocabulary for a while now, but its different words each time. For instance, one of her first words was "water" and well she hasn't said that work in about 9 months. So he is going to send us to an Audiologist to make sure everything is fine and rule out any sort of problem. But on a positive Kady is still on the right track for everything else. She is currently 25.9lbs and 35 3/4inches. So she still is tall and thin.
