ears pierced
On Friday we took Kady to go get her ear pierced finally. We have wanted to do this since she was 6 months old. She did better then i had expected once we found out they were doing one ear at a time. Poor girl!
After her first ear
It was almost like she does with her shots. She gets poked, looks for us and pauses then she cries. Almost like shes waiting for the pain to go away and when it doesn't then the tears come. She is also doing good when we have to put the solution on and twist them. We thought that would hurt her. So far so good and she looks so cute!
day at museums
A few weeks ago we took Kady to the aquarium in SF. She loved the seeing the fishes. Most of all though she loved the penguins! They would swim right up to the glass and try and play with her. She was loving it!
Silly girl
touching the fish
Not sure if she was into the fish here or her reflection :)
After we saw the fishes and went through other parts of the museum we went across to the de Young museum and went through the King Tut exhibit they have going on. Kady did not like that at all. Probably cause you are walking in the dark with tons of other people. Kady was bad and even started pulling on ladies hair and hitting the back of a guy...oops. We are trying to teach her not to pull or hit. So far we arn't succeeding. Any suggestions? For any people that are thinking about seeing the King Tut thing...i would pass. But still was a good day!

swimming
The other day we had the chance to go visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Pate in Sacramento. Kady had a blast! Not only was she crawling around entertaining everyone, they were kind to let kady use their pool. Now shes been in her little pool but never been in a big pool. She loved it. She was kicking and spashing trying to utilize the whole pool. Daddy also let her out of her floatie to see how she would react to going under water. She loved it! This kid is afraid of nothing! She would come up laughing and smiling. Here are a few pics.

Mashed taters
So we wanted to try some mashed taters tonight and well that didnt go so well. Kady does not like them at all. We will have to try again in a few more days or weeks.
first graduation
Kady went to her first graduation. Jimmy's cousin Logan graduated from Clayton Valley on Wednesday and we all made the trip to the Concord Pavillion to see his big event. Kady did real well with all the horns and loudness. She just kept looking around to see what was going on. And when the we all clapt she got so excited. Here are a few pics taken that night.

Changed sites
Well we had to change blog sites due to not being able to post pictures anymore. So hopefully we have better luck on this. Just in case i actually start to post more stuff! :)
Things are changing in Kady's everyday life. She is learning something new everyday. I love it! She loves to roll over. That is her way of getting to the toys she wants. Shes tried to get into the crawling position just a couple of times with no luck. But we are working on it.
She loves to eat too. So far the only thing that she does not like are peaches. She had sweet potatoes for the first time tonight and just LOVED them. She still is a bit iffy of peas but she will eat them. Just takes a bit longer.
Today she went in for her 6 month pictures and Grammy came to join us. She did alright. She was a little scared of the photographer but we got a couple shots. Not a lot with her smiling though. I had to get in some pics just to get her to calm down a bit and try to get her in a better mood. But they turned out well.
